Turf infill will remain intact during regular maintenance. It is how that maintenance is performed that can cause issues. Regular washings and brushing with a hose and broom will both clean the turf and help keep the infill evenly spread. However, utilizing something like a pressure washer will blow out all of the infill (as well as damage the turf itself). However, utilizing a pressure washer surface cleaning attachment can achieve the desired results for a deep clean and keeping the infill intact.
Note: Certain types of infill can lift up, along the blades, during heavy rain events. It is important to choose the right infill for your environment. Rubber infill is recommended for wet areas. It doesn’t lift or float and aids drainage.
